   Mitsuki is right it was revieled that yondaime had a differnet last name his name was Minato Namikaze but hes wifes ( AKA Narutos mother ) name was Kushina Uzumaki and then they named Naruto after the main character in one of Jiraiya’s books xD … the rest u will find out

Naruto has the last name of Uzumaki so no one would know that he is the son of the fourth because if every one knew, then he would be targeted often because Minato was said to be the most powerful of all the previous hokages. hope that clears everything up
